Video game cut scenes you can’t skip

Enough already.

A cut scene in a video game is where the action of the game stops so that they can transition your character. It normally involved a movie-esque sequence with crazy camera angles and character dialogue.

These can be cool and interesting, the first time you play the game. But once you’ve seen the cut scene, there is rarely reason to watch it again.

That brings us to the morons who make video games in which you are not able to skip the cut scenes.

Why?

I understand that you went to a lot of work to make that cut scene look cool and you want a bunch of 7th graders to jonze all over it, but guess what? No.

Give me the frickin ability to press “start” or anything and get past this crap.

Metal Gear Solid 4 has a 90 minute cut scene, but thank God, they allow you to skip it. MGS fans, you owe them one.

This is the same ideas as the tools that make DVD menus you can’t skip. Jerk-faces. All of em.
