Transformers 2
Michael Bay gives us more! More of the same.
I want to start this review by saying that there are parts of this movie I liked. The parts that involved cool robot fights and not the parts that involved terrible acting, plot and cheesy one-liners.
I really expected a lot from Transformers 2. Perhaps that was my fault, but I really thought that it would deliver. I gave the first film a lot of leeway. I allowed myself to move passed the garbage acting and dialogue, because it was new, fresh and the CG was incredible. This was attempt two, though. I couldn’t give them the same.
Shia LaDouche was bad, again. Megan Fox, I’m sorry, attractive or not, she can’t act and she was so annoying most of the I just wanted Optimus to pimp-smack her.
Speaking of that, what was up with the jive-talking twin robots. Has Michael Bay never heard of Jar-Jar Binks? These robots were lame and distracting. Their “clever” one-liners felt like it was less transformers and more “an Evening with Wanda Sikes”. I mean, seriously, they were just stupid.
The plot of this one felt really stuffy and overloaded. It was just so involved and complicated that I think a majority of viewers won’t really follow along with it that well. And how many times are they going to “kill” Optimus and Megatron? Didn’t Optimus die in the last movie? Apparently, Transformers are easily killed, but all you have to do is find the impossible to find objects that are readily available to most people and bring them back to life. Also, Shia LaDouche grabbed the key, it disappeared, but then reappeared when he “earned it”, as the Prime told him. So why was the Fallen able to take it? Did he earn it? Plot holes abound.
Cool fighting robots only gets you so far and with Transformers 2, it wasn’t far enough. Would you like a suggestion for T3? Don’t have any live-action actors in it. I could care less about the character development between any of them and it would just make the whole thing 1000 times better.

hahahahahahahahaha
no “live-action actors in it”
That’s exactly what I thought after seeing the first one.

Actually Optimus didn’t die in the first one you meant Megatron.
And as fun as it was to watch Tyler Perry presents: Two Lame Black Talking Robots.. wait it wasn’t.
