Phantom Vibrate

How can this happen to me when I’m on my phone?

This may or may not happen to you, but it happens to me at least once a day. You see I keep my cell phone in my pocket most of the time. But there are times at work when I keep it on my desk. I also always have my phone on the double-vibrate then ring.

Then, all the sudden, I feel it vibrate in my pocket, I reach for it and… nothing. It’s sitting on my desk not ringing.

Today this happened while I was talking on my phone. I instinctively reached for my pocket and when I came up empty, realized that I currently had the phone in my other hand.

What causes this? I could probably google it and find a bunch of scientific answers that other tools have blogged about, but I won’t. I know what causes it and I will now explain that to you.

Basically, every person is connected on a mental level in what is known as collective consciousness. It’s what gives you the ability to comprehend things in your dreams that you’ve never previously had knowledge about. So anyway, when someone thinks about calling me, my brain registers that and triggers the nerves in my leg to think that my phone is ringing. The person did not call though and the vibration is not “real” (depending on what you define is reality).

So now I think we all have a little better understanding as to why the phantom vibrate takes place.
