"No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service" is the phrase/sign we all know and love. And we all understand what it means. The problem here is that if they're following the same pattern (i.e. "if you don't have these two things, you won't get the last thing") then the sign is telling us we will not get a pet unless we have a shirt and shoes. But if they're just trying to tell us that no pets are allowed, then they are not using the familiar phrase, and anyone who knows even just a little bit of english would gather from this sign that all 3 things are not allowed. So rather than "If you don't have a shirt and shoes we will not serve you, and also don't bring your pets in," the sign means, "No shirts, shoes, or pets allowed in the store." The next time you go there, Mr. Complaint, I would take off my shoes and my shirt before I walk in. In fact, get a group of people to do it, because these people need an English lesson.

I think this complaint post might be worthy of "letter to the editor" status. And I think given the points above, i believe the "letter to the editor" edition should include a more politically correct and updated version of "No Shirts, No Shoes, No Service." But in addition, it needs to be updated to include our more 21st century take of: No Firearms or Smoking points. We don't end up with a bunch of signs and stickers plastered all over storefronts. It should just read: "No douchebags and their pets Allowed." Yes, this will work much better.

Here is my hypothesis, the store being inundated with requests for shoes, shirts and pets has sadly sold out of said objects. The sign then is a courtesy to patrons who would be wasting their time going into the grocery store to buy shoes, shirts or a pet. I personally buy my shirts, shoes and pets at my local sandwich shop. On a second note, the common saying, "No shirt, No shoes, No service." doesn't mention anything about pants. Something to think about.

First off, what is with that cat? Second off, I agree with Mr. Matt, except I don't think our dear animal friends are in danger from pet killing store employees, I just believe that you will not receive your "service" i.e. your pet. This grocery store must have a truck full of the animal shelters cats and thought this would be a nice way to unload them on unsuspecting patrons of their store. But only the ones that remembers to put on their clothes today before they ran to pick up their much needed dairy items.

Well wait a second now. Technically if the common phrase is "no shirts, no shoes, no service," then "no shirts, no shoes, no pets" obviously means if you walk into that establishment without shirts or shoes on then the worker behind the counter will sprint to your house and murder all your pets where they are standing, because since you didn't adhere to the store requirements you don't deserve to have any pets. Watch your back Mr Kinkles on those hot summer days!!!
