Great building episode.

This was definitely a slow-paced episode, but it had great flashback content and the last 15 minutes was phenomenal.

I am so glad that they had the Myles and Hurley exposition session involving the time travel. This is what I’ve been saying all along people and I’m so glad that the writers were smart enough to keep this accurate. Just as the title states, what has previously happened, has already happened, therefore it can’t be changed.

I was thinking tonight about the perfect example of this that Faraday said regarding the bomb. When Ellie was holding him up and she mentioned the bomb going off, he said that the island still existed in the future. Exactly. The same reason Ben couldn’t die and that they can’t change the course of events, because that course has already taken place.

Anyway, I’m glad that’s over with.

I also enjoyed the Kate flashbacks. I think they brought her storyline together nicely and gave good insight to the relationship that she and Sawyer may or may not have. Her giving up Aaron was just awesome and validated that she did not return to the island for Sawyer, or at least only for Sawyer. Interestingly enough, though, Sawyer is back to calling her Freckles. Could this mean the feelings are coming back or just that they are syncing back up as the Super Lostie Team that we know and love? I guess we’ll find out.

I really loved the whole set up with Richard and Ben. Man, the reason why Ben is the way he is, is thanks to Kate and Sawyer. Awesome. Richard is going to jack that kid up, big time.

Then Richard says that he doesn’t answer to Charles and Ellie? Interesting that they are still on the island in the late 70′s. For some reason I had just assumed that they were gone before this, but I think it’ll be cool to see what actually takes them off the island. Why would they leave? The incident? The purge? What ever it is, it’ll involve Ben and won’t be pretty. Hopefully that will give us more information about who is really telling the truth about how and why they are all fighting for the island and what their intentions really are.
