Is it just me or is indie rock sound like 80s new wave?

Hey, let’s sing with a bunch of weird rhythms and have a keyboard playing all weird synthy-like.

That’s right, this new “indie rock” is just 80’s new wave disguised. You know, kind of like how everybody knows that an emo kid is just a goth kid who was too afraid to go all the way. Except in this case, indie rockers go all the way.

Listen to their music or look how they perform. New wave.

Stop kidding yourselves.

And earlier, when I said listen to their music, I didn’t really mean that. It sucks.
