COPS 20th Anniversary DVD
COPS, a brilliant piece of reality television, has been on the air for 20 years! As a celebration and tribute the 20th Anniversary Edition DVD has come out for all to enjoy.
COPS is so rad. Period.
I love the television show COPS. It is my second favorite show, a close second, to LOST. I’m not sure what it is about COPS that I enjoy so much. Perhaps its the fact of seeing idiots do idiotic stuff, and then have the 5-0 rough them up a little bit.
Yeah, that’s it.
When this 20 Anniversary episode aired, I was so upset because I didn’t have a DVD ready and I missed the first 2 acts. Then I heard it was coming out on DVD and I rejoiced.
So how about the bonus features? Good stuff. The “Making of” is great and gives insight into how the show first began and how it works. I also enjoyed the commentary’s by officers while they talked about their favorite episodes.
One downfall to this disc, though, is that there are some moments not included in there that I think should’ve been. Don’t worry, all the classics are there – “I don’t sell crack, I’m a prostitute,” the fat man-chick who’s wig pops off when he-she resists arrest and everyone’s favorite, the leopard unitard wearing trucker who got robbed.
But I guess if I really think about it, 20 years worth of episodes to go through is amazing in itself and I just appreciate the fact that this DVD exists.
So do yourself a favor, go buy this DVD today and watch the crap out of it.
